Other Metals
Paul Carruthers Manufacturing Jewellers can work with a wide range of metals other than Platinum, Gold, and Silver, such as Titanium and Steel.
Titanium
Titanium is a metal with a silvery-white-greyish color. Titanium is extremely hard and strong, yet it is very light weight. It is also 100% hypo-allergenic, so it is safe for anyone to wear.
Titanium is very dent and scratch resistant. However one downside is that it cannot be soldered, which means that titanium rings cannot normally be resized, they can however be “stretched” or “shrunk” but this is limited to only a few sizes either way of it’s original size. This also means that they are quite difficult to cut off the finger in the event of an emergency.
Steel
Stainless steel is not traditionally used in fine jewelry, though its popularity is increasing. Iron is the main component of this tough durable alloy. It is also very cheap.
Stainless steel is a relatively hard and durable metal, and is resistant to rust. It can be found in cheaper mens jewellery, such as bracelets, necklaces, and dress rings.
